ExxonMobil Senior Vice President Stuart McGill Announces Retirement after 38 Years of Service IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 15, 2007--Dr. Stuart R.
McGill, 64, senior vice president of Exxon Mobil Corporation
(NYSE:XOM), has announced his intention to retire effective July 31,
2007 after more than 38 years of service.
Since October 2004, Dr. McGill has been responsible for
ExxonMobil's upstream operations, which include exploration,
development, production, gas and power marketing and upstream
research.
Dr. McGill joined Esso Australia Ltd. in 1969 as an engineer in
its Production Department. During his career, McGill held a number of
domestic and international engineering, research, gas marketing,
production, and general management assignments. Prior to the
ExxonMobil merger, those positions included managing director of Esso
Production Malaysia Inc., Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, chairman and
managing director of Esso Australia Ltd., Sydney, Australia, chief
executive officer of Esso Holding Company Holland Inc. and of Esso
B.V., Breda, Netherlands and president of Exxon Company,
International, New Jersey. Subsequent to the ExxonMobil merger, he was
appointed president of ExxonMobil Gas & Power Marketing Company in
December 1999. He was appointed president of ExxonMobil Production
Company in July 2003.
A native of Australia, Dr. McGill holds a bachelor's degree and a
doctorate in chemical engineering from Sydney University. Dr. McGill
is a fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a member of
the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
