(Sheboygan, Wis.) - May 31, 2006 - A friendly dose of competition involving children and their dads is just the beginning for a memorable Father's Day weekend in store at Blue Harbor Resort - Sheboygan's year-round indoor waterpark resort - June 17 and 18.

Father vs. Child Challenge

Ready. Set. Go! The father vs. child face off will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday when children and their dads compete in relay races, putting contests, sack races, limbo and hula-hoop contests. The winners of each event will receive ice cream at Sweetshop Landing confectionery café.

Soaring to New "Kites"

Children, together with Dad, are invited to Crew Club, the children's craft and activity room, to assemble and decorate kites beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 17. Afterwards, weather permitting the newly constructed kites can be exhibited outdoors as they soar high against a Lake Michigan backdrop.

Crew Club will also host Father's Day card making sessions. Creative materials will be provided for children to personalize their cards.

Famous Fathers Trivia for $100 Off Future Stay

Question: What is up for stakes during the Famous Father Trivia Contest for the father and child duo? Answer: $100 off a future stay at Blue Harbor Resort. From 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, guests can pick up an entry form and answer the series of questions about famous fathers. The team that returns their form by 5 p.m. and answers the most questions correctly will win. A random drawing of winners will take place should a tie occur.

"Take Dad Out to Dinner" Special

Open to resort guests and the public, the Rusty Anchor Buffet will honor Father's Day by featuring the special, "Take Dad Out to Dinner." From 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Sunday, dads will receive a complimentary dinner when the family dines at the Rusty Anchor Buffet. The cost of the buffet is $12.95 for adults and $5.95 for children 10 and under.
