Veeco To Host MOCVD Seminar In China

Woodbury, NY, March 14, 2006 - Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: VECO), a leading supplier of process equipment and metrology used to make high brightness light emitting diodes (HB-LEDs), announced today that it will be hosting a seminar in Shanghai, China entitled "Advances in Production MOCVD for Solid State Lighting." The seminar will take place on Monday, March 27th prior to the LED Lighting Expo that is being held as part of the 2006 Shanghai International Cityscape Lighting Expo for World Expo. The agenda will include:

  • Process development advances on Veeco's MOCVD products;
  • Growing green LEDs on GaNzilla II;
  • In-situ metrology for improved LED yield and process control.
