Symantec to Participate in Congressional Subcommittee Hearing on Cyber Security for Small BusinessesCUPERTINO, CA, Mar 15, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced that Enrique Salem,
Symantec senior vice president, Consumer Products and Solutions, will
participate in a hearing on cyber security for small businesses
conducted by the United State House of Representatives Small Business
Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform and Oversight. The hearing,
entitled "The State of Small Business Security In A Cyber Economy,"
is scheduled for Thursday, March 16, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. ET in room
2360 of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.
Salem's remarks will focus on the challenges that small and
medium-sized businesses face in dealing with today's cyber threats and
how their precautions for ensuring information security differ from
those of large enterprises.
Salem is responsible for all elements of Symantec's worldwide
