Kathleen Jackson Joins The PrivateBank and Trust Company as Managing DirectorCHICAGO, Sep 9, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Kathleen M. Jackson,
has joined The PrivateBank and Trust Company, Chicago, a unit of PrivateBancorp,
Inc. (Nasdaq: PVTB) as director of wealth management, managing director and
senior trust officer. Ms. Jackson had been senior vice president and director of
personal trust and investment services, The Chicago Trust Company.

insights on successful client relationships will enhance our wealth management
and trust areas. She will play an important role in our future growth and we are

Ms. Jackson, who started her career as an elementary school teacher in Portland,
Oregon, entered the business world in 1978 as an agent with Aetna Life and
Casualty. She left Aetna in the mid-1980's to work in a variety of
entrepreneurial endeavors advising financial services companies on marketing and
sales strategies. In 1993, she joined Experian, a lending provider of direct
marketing resources, as director of marketing. Two years later she joined Bank
One Investment Management Company, Chicago (formerly First Chicago NBD
Investment Management Company) as national sales manager. She was promoted to
senior managing director of product management in 1998. A year later, she joined
The Chicago Trust Company, then a wholly owned subsidiary of Alleghany Asset
Management as senior vice president responsible for P & L, strategy and overall
leadership of the $2 billion personal trust and investment services business.
Ms. Jackson received her Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State
University and her MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Active in civic and charitable affairs, she serves as vice president and a
member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Association board of directors, is
a past president and current board member of the Harvard Business School Club of
Chicago and is a member of the Dean's Advisory Committee, Benedictine
University.
Ms. Jackson is married, has two children and resides in Naperville, IL.
