SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 2001--Overland Data Inc. (Nasdaq:OVRL), a global leader in data storage automation, today announced that it has named Cynthia A. Bond to the new position of Director of Corporate Communications.

Bond, who will be responsible primarily for Overland's investor relations program, brings over 15 years of investor relations experience to the company. During her career, Bond has represented and counseled companies in a wide range of industry sectors as well as worked with emerging growth companies and large multi-nationals.

Prior to joining Overland Data, Bond worked for a Manhattan-based consulting firm as an advisor to Overland Data. In this capacity, she helped position the company for sponsorship from the financial community. Her prior experience as a securities analyst provides valuable background in understanding the needs of professional investors.

Bond, a Chicago native, had been living in New York City since the fall of 1987. She is a graduate of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and holds a B.A. in economics from Connecticut College in New London, Conn. She is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research, the New York Society of Security Analysts and the National Investor Relations Institute.
