SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2011-- Navigant (NYSE: NCI) announced today that Karin Corfee has joined Navigant's Energy Practice as a Managing Director in the San Francisco office.

Ms. Corfee joins Navigant with more than twenty years of experience in the energy industry. She recently served as the project manager for the Renewable Energy Technical Support contract for the California Energy Commission (CEC), and has led multiple research efforts on behalf of the CEC relating to renewable energy markets, renewable technology assessments, and renewable energy policies related to RPS, RECs, distributed generation interconnection practices, and feed-in tariffs.

Corfee's background in solar PV program design and implementation includes support of the California Solar Initiative (CSI) Program, SolarGenerations Program, New Solar Homes Partnership Program and Hawaii Feed-in Tariff Program. Ms. Corfee served a principal role in the development of the 2009 CSI Impact Evaluation Study, one of the largest impact evaluation studies of a solar program in the United States.

She previously worked on behalf of the California Public Utilities Commission to support the development of the 2009-2020 California Energy Efficiency Strategic Plan and also assisted the California Independent System Operator in developing their Five Year Strategic Plan last year.
