Wesley R. Card Named Chief Financial Officer of Jones Apparel Group

NEW YORK, March 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jones Apparel Group, Inc. (NYSE: JNY) today announced the appointment of Wesley R. Card, 59, as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. He succeeds Thimio Sotos, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Card will also continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer.

Peter Boneparth, Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Wes was an exceptional CFO for Jones during the 15 years he held that position, and we are pleased to welcome him back to that role. Since his appointment as COO, he has been instrumental in setting the strategy for our Company and executing against that plan. I have no doubt that Wes will do a great job in his dual roles as CFO and COO."
