MANKATO, Minn., July 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- HickoryTech Corporation
(Nasdaq: HTCO) today announced that it has been awarded a three-year work
force development grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and
Economic Development through the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Program
(MJSP) in the amount of $390,000. The grant enables HickoryTech to provide
highly technical communications and networking training to employees over a
three-year period. Awards are granted semiannually. HickoryTech is one of
eighteen companies in the state to receive such an award in July. South
Central College in North Mankato and Anoka-Ramsey Community College will
partner with HickoryTech to develop customized technology training curriculum

economic vitality across industries by bringing businesses with specific
education needs together with educational institutions.
