Goodrich and Schroth to Bring Inflatable Restraint System Technology To Regional and Business Aviation Marketplace CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR)
and Schroth Safety Products GmbH have signed an agreement allowing the
companies to jointly develop and produce patented Goodrich inflatable
restraint technology for the general aviation marketplace. The products are
part of the SmartBelt(TM) inflatable restraint family and include the
Inflatabelt(TM) lap belt restraint, the SmartBelt(TM) shoulder harness
restraint, and coaxial head/neck protection restraints. The products can be
used for virtually any type of seating configuration for passenger, flight and
cabin crews including side-facing seats. In addition to regional and business
aviation applications the products are also of interest for use in commercial,
general aviation, military/ government aviation, and helicopter applications. In commenting on the agreement, Jay Cross, Vice President of Goodrich's
Passenger Restraint Systems division at Goodrich, said, "By combining our
