(Paris Air Show) Lufthansa Technik Selects Goodrich Hot Water Heating System for Boeing Business Jet

PARIS AIR SHOW, France, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Lufthansa Technik has selected the new 20-gallon temperature controlled hot water heating system from Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) for use on BBJ aircraft. Goodrich will be providing the system for 10 aircraft over the next 3 years with options for an additional 20. Lufthansa is using the hot water heating system to supply hot water to lavatories, galleys and showers.

According to Bruce Coggins, Goodrich's President, De-Icing and Specialty Systems division, "Our previous experience as the potable water system integrator for the CRJ700, CRJ900, Hawker Horizon and Gulfstream GV-SP aircraft and manufacture of lavatory and galley water heaters has helped us to become the provider of choice for this project."

The Goodrich hot water heating system ensures a constant supply of hot water for all areas of the BBJ including high demand requirements such as showers. The system controller maintains a constant water temperature automatically throughout the flight. The system is modular and can be sized to meet specific water heating requirements.
