Can I sell my stock directly through WellPoint or do I have to use a broker? |

WellPoint, Inc. has authorized Computershare, to introduce a sales program through its Direct Registration System (DRS), effective January 25, 2005. This program, which is offered and administered by Computershare, provides WellPoint, Inc. shareholders with a convenient alternative to traditional retail brokerage methods for selling shares.
Participation is strictly voluntary and does not affect any insurance policies or benefits that you may have. Neither WellPoint, Inc. nor Computershare Trust Co., NA, is recommending that you sell your shares or buy shares of WellPoint, Inc. common stock.

I'm a shareholder and I have moved. How do I change my address? |

You should contact WellPoint Shareholder Services at Computershare at 1-866-299-9628.
It is important to note that changing your address with Computershare will not change the address that is associated with your health plan records. To change the address associated with your plan, call the customer service number on the back of your Insurance membership identification card.

The shareholder is deceased and I'm the executor of the estate. How do I get the shares transferred to my name? |

First, contact WellPoint's transfer agent, Computershare, at the toll-free number 1-866-299-9628. A customer service representative will request information regarding your situation and send you forms to be completed and medallion-guaranteed by a bank officer. You will then need to mail back the forms to Computershare in order to complete the process. The address for Computershare is:

I hold an Anthem, Inc. stock certificate. Do I need to exchange it for a WellPoint, Inc. stock certificate?

No. Anthem shareholders do not need to exchange their stock certificates as a result of the merger or the change of Anthem's name. Some brokers may charge a fee for exchanging the certificates. Our transfer agent can exchange your certificate at no cost to you.
You may obtain a WellPoint, Inc. certificate through our transfer agent, Computershare, at the address below. When you send in your Anthem, Inc.
certificate, please send a letter of instruction stating that you would like to exchange your Anthem, Inc. certificate for a WellPoint, Inc.
certificate. Also please insure it for 2% of the current value of the shares (the value of a surety bond in the event the certificate is lost), and do not sign the certificate.

Does WellPoint pay a cash dividend on common stock? |

WellPoint's Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend to shareholders in the first quarter of 2011 of $0.25 per share. This quarterly rate represents an annualized dividend of $1.00 per share, which equates to a yield of approximately 1.5 percent based on the Company's stock price at close of trading on the New York Stock Exchange on February 22, 2011. Future quarterly dividend payments are subject to Board approval and may be adjusted as business needs or market conditions change.
The initial dividend payment will be made on March 25, 2011 to shareholders of record as of March 10, 2011.
