How do I determine the cost basis for my Midas, Inc. shares? |

Midas was spun off from Whitman Corporation (formerly IC Industries) on January 30, 1998 using a six-to-one basis. For every six shares of Whitman, holders received one share of Midas. The cost basis for your Midas shares is 10.55 percent of the original cost of your Whitman shares. For shares you have purchased since the spin off, your cost basis is the original price you paid for the Midas shares. |

As a result of an acquisition, Whitman changed its name to PepsiAmericas, Inc., and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange as "PAS."
